Temple Bridge Closure and Diversion

The footbridge over the River Thames at Temple has been closed by the Environment Agency for at least the rest of the year due to structural problems with the decking.
National Trails have put a diversion in place using Marlow Bridge and the road through Bisham. Details of the diversion in both directions can be found at https://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/en_GB/short-routes/temple-bridge-closed-thames-path-on-diversion-may-2023-onwards/
Walk leaders are advised not to plan walks using Temple Bridge until it reopens.
Car Park charges at Burnham Beeches

A new parking system has been in place from Saturday 5 December and daily parking charges (weekends and weekdays) apply. The new system is cashless, accepting payments through RingGo or by card.
- Monday - Friday (excluding bank/public holidays): up to 2 hours £1.50; over 2 hours £3
- Weekends and bank/public holidays: £3 per day
- Coaches and minibuses (17 seats or more): £18 per day at all times
- Free for Blue Badge holders clearly displaying a valid badge AND registering their vehicle via

Car park Charges at Hambleden and Mill End

The Culden Faw Estate has introduced parking charges at the car parks at Hambleden and Mill End, both popular starting points for EBR walks. Please be prepared to pay the standard charge if a walk starts at either of these car parks. Both are operated by “JustPark” and you can pay by cash, through the App, by text, by contactless.
The tariff in both cases is:
Up to 1 hour £1
Up to 2 hours £2
Up to 4 hours £3
Up to 6 hours £4
Up to 24 hours £5
1 week £20
If you are visiting the Stag & Huntsman you can get a 2 hour free permit but that only caters for those going straight into the pub for a meal and then leaving.
