David Bounds
Fifty or sixty people attended the funeral of David Bounds (87) yesterday at Easthampstead Park (reports Dave Ramm).
Following on from the footpath working parties organised by the late Peter Nevell between 1972 and 1988, for more recent members David's presence would have been felt by the Group as the author of some of the most successful guidebooks ever produced in this part of the Country certainly - the 'Rambling for Pleasure' series, with sales well over a hundred thousand.
"They would simply would not have happened without you David" - Dave Ramm

Alma Richardson has provided the following note :
Barbara Fort, who was a member of EBR for many years, has died. Barbara usually came along to the shorter walks with Don and Jean Todd and had been ill for a long time. I believe she was 79. She died at the Thames Valley Hospice on Monday 25th February. The funeral will be at Slough Crematorium on Tuesday 12th March at 3.00 pm.
I am sure that lots of her friends who walked with her would like to know this sad news.
